MMW is grateful to the Lord as we are able to return to our regular schedule, the second Monday of each month.  Our next meeting is scheduled for August 9, 2021 in the Sanctuary.

Madison Methodist Women is a fellowship that welcomes all women.  Missions-minded, we strive to support informative, interesting

and fun activities that help us grow in our faith

while creating lifelong friendships.

Bake Sales

MMW appreciates the fun, support and participation in our bake sales, whether Actual or No-Calorie-No Bake!

MMW holds Bake Sales each year as fundraisers to support MMW Missions donations to, among others, MUMC Youth Missions, MUMC Pastor's Discretionary Fund, MUMC Missions, local nutrition needs, The Well House, and Upper Sand Mountain Parish.  In 2021, MMW also made a donation to Crisis Services of North Alabama.

School Supplies

Annually, the MMW leads a church-wide collection of school supplies for donation to Upper Sand Mountain Parish in northwest Alabama.

Upper Sand Mountain Parish, a cooperative of 8 United Methodist Churches, serves and ministers annually to approximately 5,000 low-to-no income residents of Jackson and Dekalb Counties.

Momma Bags

MMW members create Momma Bags for women of Upper Sand Mountain Parish.  Coming to seek essentials for their children, ladies are invited to select a Momma Bag for themselves.  Many have never received such a gift and are overwhelmed by this demonstration of the love of Jesus.

What's a Momma Bag?  An attractive and lightly used purse with small items such as a new nail polish, a set of jewelry, scarf, lotion, hair bands, tissues, a new pair of socks - things we might find in our own bags and purses.

Socks!  Socks!  Socks!

In November of 2018, MMW initiated an annual church-wide collection of new socks for Upper Sand Mountain Parish.  That year and the next, your love and generosity sent about 1200 pairs of socks!  Another testimony of MUMC's heart!  The Pandemic did not allow collections in 2020, however in 2021, we hope to make up the difference.
